Terms and conditions

These terms apply to every order placed on this website by a consumer. You accept them when you pay.

1. Who you are buying from

Goods on this site are sold by CINEFRANCE LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under number 17459128, whose registered office is 24-26 Regent Place, Birmingham, B1 3NJ, United Kingdom.

Contact: +44 7353 306761 contact@cinefrance-boutique.fr, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5.30pm (UK time).

2. The goods

The main characteristics of each product are set out on its page. We take care to describe them accurately, and in particular we distinguish a device's native resolution from the resolution it will merely accept on its inputs.

Photographs are illustrative and may show accessories that are not included. The "What is in the box" section is definitive on what you receive.

All offers are subject to availability. The stock figure shown on each page is real.

3. Prices

Prices are shown in pounds sterling, with the currency stated explicitly rather than by symbol alone.

We are not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is added to the price shown.

The full total, including delivery, is shown before you confirm payment. Nothing is added afterwards.

4. Your order

You select a product, enter your delivery details, review the summary and pay. The final button states clearly that placing the order carries an obligation to pay.

A contract is formed when we accept your payment. We then send you an order confirmation by email.

We may decline an order where there is an unresolved earlier dispute, a suspicion of fraud, or a clearly abnormal request. No money is taken if we do.

5. Payment

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details never pass through our servers and are never disclosed to us.

Your bank may ask you to confirm the payment as part of strong customer authentication.

Payments appear on your statement as CINEFRANCE. If a charge looks unfamiliar, please contact us before raising a dispute with your bank — we can identify it immediately.

6. Delivery

We deliver to United Kingdom mainland in 35 working days from dispatch, signed for on arrival.

In any event we will deliver within 30 days of the contract being formed. If we do not, you may treat the contract as at an end and receive a full refund.

Full details, including excluded areas, are on the Delivery page, which forms part of these terms.

7. Cancelling your order

You have 14 days from receiving the goods to cancel, without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Return postage for a cancellation is at your cost. We refund within 14 days of receiving the goods back, to your original payment method.

The procedure and the model cancellation form are on the Returns and refunds page.

8. Your rights if goods are faulty

Consumer Rights Act 2015

Goods we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they are not:

  • Within 30 days you have the short-term right to reject them and receive a full refund.
  • After 30 days and up to six months we may repair or replace the goods once; if that is unsuccessful you may claim a refund or a price reduction. A fault appearing in this period is assumed to have existed at delivery unless we prove otherwise.
  • Beyond six months the same remedies remain available, though you may need to show the fault was present at delivery.
  • Any repair or replacement is free of charge, made within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you.

These are your statutory rights. Nothing in these terms reduces them, and they sit alongside any manufacturer warranty.

9. Waste electrical and electronic equipment

Electrical goods must not be disposed of with general household waste. When you buy a new product from us, you may return a similar old item to us for free recycling — contact us for details.

10. Complaints and dispute resolution

Please contact us first — nearly everything is resolved in a single exchange. We aim to acknowledge a complaint within one working day.

If we cannot resolve matters between us, you may be able to refer the dispute to an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider. We are not currently a member of an ADR scheme, and we will tell you at the time whether we agree to use one. Your right to take the matter to court is unaffected.

11. Your data

How we handle your personal information is set out in our privacy policy.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. As a consumer you may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live, and you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections that apply there.

These terms provide a sound basis drawn from the applicable regulations. A review by a qualified solicitor is recommended before going live.
